Supply Chain: Social and Ecological Requirements for Suppliers

Supplier Assessment

At Superior, we strongly believe that collaborating with our supply chain is crucial to drive innovation and achieve significant progress in reducing our environmental footprint. To achieve this goal, we closely collaborate with our aluminium suppliers to ensure that their products and processes are environmentally sustainable. We take pride in the fact that all our primary aluminium suppliers are members of the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI), which reflects their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. By partnering with ASI members, we can ensure that our suppliers comply with our corporate principles, and together, we can make a positive impact on the environment. (CDP Report: 12.1a)

Expectations of Our Suppliers

Suppliers are expected to comply with all applicable laws and use resources wisely.  At every stage of the product life cycle, we expect conservation of natural resources, responsible handling of chemicals, and recycling materials.  All Suppliers are required to complete Superior’s Corporate Sustainability self-assessment and acknowledge agreement with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines our specific requirements.  Suppliers shall have an environmental management system that aims to meet requirements of ISO 14001 or the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS).  Our team works closely with suppliers to track the status of all required certifications and agreements, and audits of this system may be requested by Superior at any time.
